U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement regarding today’s event at the White House celebrating the record number of federal judges confirmed by the Senate.

“The President invited me to this celebration for a simple reason: On the Judiciary Committee we chew bubblegum and confirm great judges — and we’re all out of bubblegum. We’ve fought for Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh and for Nebraskans like Steve Grasz and Brian Buescher. Nearly one in four circuit judges was confirmed by the Senate in the last three years. Today’s celebration was great, but we’re not slowing down. We’ve got more great nominees who need votes.”
