Intern with Senator Sasse
A select number of internships are available throughout the year in both our Nebraska and Washington, D.C. offices. This program is designed to enrich your academic experience with direct participation in the legislative process and public service. Applicants to our intern program must be high-school graduates and United States citizens. The typical successful applicant will have strong research skills, good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and lots of enthusiasm.
Nebraska Intern Program
Our Nebraska interns will not only get a bird's eye view of how we help people navigate the Federal government, but will also be exposed to practical outcomes of policy, sit in on constituent meetings, help organize various events, and of course learn how to effectively and efficiently communicate constituent opinions. Monthly stipends may be available.
Washington, D.C. Intern Program
D.C. interns will witness first-hand the workings of our nation's capital. Legislative duties could include attending committee hearings, tracking legislation, drafting press releases, and attending meetings with constituents and interest groups. Monthly stipends may be available.
