U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, an outspoken advocate for Nebraska agriculture and trade, issued the following statement after House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer floated speculation on a USMCA vote as early as next week despite the fact that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has also suggested that the deal may slip to 2020.

"Don't toy with Nebraska. House Democrats play more red light, green light than kindergartners, but this isn't a game to our farmers and ranchers. Enough is enough. It's time for Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats to just schedule the vote."
